About Marshall Shartzer III

I’m a Production Designer and Art Director based in south-central Kentucky, with studio and independent credits including Netflix’s Emmy-winning limited series Lost Ollie and Lionsgate’s Don’t Tell a Soul. Over the past decade I’ve worked my way up through nearly every position in the art department, from set dressing and carpentry to leading full departments on features and TV projects.

My background started in technical theatre, which is where I learned to build for camera and stage before ever stepping onto a film set. That foundation shapes how I work now: practical problem solving, clear communication with directors and producers, and getting the most visual value out of every dollar in the budget.

What I bring to a production

• Full-scale set construction, from historic interiors to genre and horror environments
• Script breakdowns and realistic local budgeting for Kentucky shoots
• 3D set design and technical drawing using AutoCAD and SketchUp
• On-set leadership across props, set decoration, and visual continuity
